The Pueblo Convention Center has announced the first installment of the facilities 2012 quarterly wine dinners, which will take place on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14 at 6:00pm and will feature wine from California’s Cupcake Vineyards.
The Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner will feature a decadent four-course meal, with each course paired with a unique wine from California’s Cupcake Vineyards, and live entertainment from Pueblo’s own, The Frankie & Juls Trio.
Cupcake Vineyard’s will also have a local representative on-hand, serving as guest sommelier and explaining the process behind the pairing of wine with each course.
“Food and wine play such a big role in the tradition of the Valentine’s Day holiday,” said Eric Copeland, Executive Chef of the Pueblo Convention Center. “Our Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner is a great opportunity to treat your special someone to some of the best pairings of food and wine in the city.”
Tickets to the Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner are $50 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at the Pueblo Convention Center, or are available by calling 719-542-1100.

1st Course
Sweet Heart Skewers
Caprese Skewers, Melon Balls and Prosciutto Skewers, Antipasto Skewers and Heart Shaped Fruit Skewers
2nd Course
Pomegranate Salad
Baby Spinach, Pomegranate Seeds, Cucumber, Pears, Pine Nuts, and a Goat Cheese Fritter served with Blood Orange Vinaigrette
3rd Course
Duck Confit and Tenderloin Medallion
Char Sui Glazed Confit Duck Leg, Grilled Tenderloin Medallion, Crispy Goat Cheese Polenta served with Wild Mushroom-Red Wine Demi Glace and Cherry Char Sui Glaze
4th Course
Red Velvet Delight
Red Velvet Cake Bowl filled with Pastry Cream and Fresh Berries topped with a Dark Chocolate Heart Accompanied by Blue berry Sauce, Blackberry Sauce and Raspberry Sauce
